Daily writing prompt
If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?

Okay, this is a totally biased opinion. Johnny Rikkens is the main character of my book, and if you read it, you’ll see he’s a hero.

But that’s not the main reason that makes me want to be like him; besides magical powers, Johnny also has qualities.

He grew up under the rule of an egocentric billionaire in Manhattan. He was treated harshly his entire life, but that did not make him lose his kindness and virtues. When faced with a hard decision that costs him something he loves, he does the right thing, and despite being technically a billionaire, his true treasures are his friends.

But he also has some cool characteristics, like his top hat that no one can take off from his head besides himself. He also has a pet weasel called Ringo. He’s a little animal that is clumsy and afraid, but when Johnny casts him in the air and shouts, “Ringo, I set you free,” the little weasel becomes a majestic winged lion willing to do everything to protect his owner and friend.

Now I’m currently writing the second book of Johnny’s saga. And I’m writing precisely the chapter where a WWIII erupts in our world and Johnny must intervene to avoid a global catastrophe. Can he do it? I don’t know; I’m still writing it, but I hope he and Ringo can manage to prevent the big kabbons from falling all over America and beyond.

Well, that’s just a little taste of the whole book; I can’t write much without giving spoilers out. But I think Johnny is the perfect hero; he suffers, he overcomes daring situations, he copes with his flaws, and he always chooses to do the right thing even if it costs him things he loves. Our life is not that different from it; the only difference is that not everyone chooses to do the right thing and be a hero of their own.
