You Were A Great Son

What was the best compliment you’ve received?

During my dad’s funeral and even after it, I heard from friends, family members, and even people who were strangers to me but who knew how I cared for my dad that I was a great son.

I never did anything for my dad expecting recognition or compliments; I did it because I love him and want his best. But it’s good to know that all my efforts did not go unnoticed.

My dad left a good name—a history of kindness, honor, virtues, and also how he cared for his family. Now it’s my duty to carry on his legacy and live as he did, being gentle, compassionate for others, always willing to serve and help. My dad did all that.

I hope I can live up to his name and keep being his good son.

I love you, dad, and I’ll always do!

    Quoting myself here what I mentioned before in your post entitled “How to Self-Edit Your Book Step by Step“:

    I am very touched by your filiality, another major aspect that I resonated with you, and a solid testament to your humanity and good character. That we both have been very caring towards our respective parents gives us an extra layer of understanding, appreciation and empathy towards each other’s personality, experience and oeuvres.

    I am also very touched by what you have revealed to us about your late father, who “left a good name—a history of kindness, honor, virtues, and also how he cared for his family.” Insofar as one never ceases to love and miss those who had featured so much in our lives in many endearing ways, I would like to express my belated condolences to you. A special acknowledgement is also due to you for your expressing so commendably well regarding your “duty to carry on his legacy and live as he did, being gentle, compassionate for others, always willing to serve and help.”

    Indeed, the journey of life would be so much better and fulfilling if or when we could always be caring and supportive towards others with love, and also if or when we could value health and life, as well as love, kindness and peace. Of course, we would like to be able to journey as long as we can through our lives with the ones who are dear to us, and we never cease loving them. Therefore, let us now resonate sonically with the passing of your father and celebrate his wonderful life and relationship with you via my musical composition called “Journey Of Life” as follows:
