Daily writing prompt
How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?

Ok, this title is a joke; I’m still failed and failing. But I really like to believe that failures and setbacks are here to push us to success. Maybe this way of thinking is how this whole thing works, or it may be just a way of coping with our personal failures.

However, history is full of examples of people who hit it big after suffering successive failures. Reading about them gives me a glimmer of hope that all my failures moved, or even forced me to walk towards success. But another thought always comes hand-in-hand with the one stated above: The cemetery of failures is very silent.

So, do failures push us toward success as we see it happening in the lives of many successful people, or are those guys just the exception we hear about?

I like to believe that every human being who struggles and fails time after time will eventually make it big. But that’s just my expectation; maybe the result of all the copium I’ve been inhaling lately.

  1. I use failure and setbacks as lessons to move on. I can’t sit and dwell on the past failures.
